This Egyptian beaded necklace from the 1970s incorporates a replica of a zar ceremony amulet. The ethnically worn pendant is usually much smaller and attached to the headdress. The pendant on this necklace is quite large and adorned with dangles and faux coins. The chain is made of twisted wire elements and purple twisted beads. It's quite impressive. The necklace is slip-on and in good vintage condition.
